I have reviewed each of these books separately, but here is my thoughts on the entire series It is a decidedly Christian series, which I appreciate.

The Gospel message is presented in every single book. Sometimes, the Christian lessons the characters learned seemed slightly shallow, but then it is a children's series.

It was a little strange how the characters could sense danger, but I didn't find a huge deal was made out of it. I have now read all of Lois Walfrid Johnson's series. At first, I thought I might not like this one as much as I hoped, but I think I got hooked.

I borrowed this series and am now thinking that I'll probably get the set for myself some day. There were some things that, since I'm a writer, didn't slip my notice, such as unfinished threads, tense confusion, and repetitiveness.

But, maybe it's because Johnson was my childhood favorite author, these things could easily be forgotten and I just enjoyed the series.
